A listed house right at the heart of Lychen, the town with seven lakes: This is Sommerfrische at the historic 'Painter's Angle'.
From April to October, one can swim in a different lake each day - one of them, the Oberpfuhlsee, is located directly in front of the house. Sunbathing lawns, organic bakery, cafés and restaurants can be found a stone's throw away.
We would like our guests to feel comfortable at our place - that's why we have furnished the vacation apartments with love. We are liberal-minded and value sustainability.
Booking We look forward to your stay
The minimum booking with us is two or five nights (gap booking on request). Arrival from 4 pm, departure until 10 am.
Pets are not allowed in our house due to allergies; our house is not barrier-free (listed building).
About us
We are Juliane and Matthias. We first came to Lychen in 2017 when looking for a place for our wedding: on a gray, rainy day in November. The town with seven lakes immediately captivated us and made us never want to leave. That's why we decided to stay and now we live at the 'Faerberhaus' at the historic 'Painter's Angle'. Juliane grew up in Chemnitz and writes biographies for private clients, Matthias was born in the Black Forest and works with an advertising agency. Our concept for Sommerfrische is simple: We ourselves want to feel comfortable here - and share that with our guests.

Halfway between Berlin and the Baltic Sea lies "Sommerfrische Lychen". We are on the edge of the Mecklenburgischen Seenplatte and surrounded by numerous lakes - the perfect place for paddling tours and relaxation.
By Car: Coming from Berlin you can drive to us via the B96. Turn right in Fürstenberg (Havel), then it's 13 kilometers to our place.
By Train: The RE5 leaves every hour in 58 minutes from Berlin Hbf to Fürstenberg (Havel). Continue with bus 517 to Lychen (Markt), from there it's only 200 meters to Sommerfrische.
By Bike: Lychen is very close to the Berlin-Copenhagen bike path. You can reach us via a well paved cycle path from Fürstenberg (Havel) or Himmelpfort.
Our Vacation Apartments
Vacations in a listed historical building by the lake.
Organic bakery directly opposite. Lake, canoe rental and boat passage right in front of the door. 300 meters to the town center with health food store, drugstore, pharmacy, bookstore, cafes, restaurants, playground and ice cream parlor.
Our apartments Wald (forest) and Wasser (water) can be combined if booked at the same time.
We love animals. But due to a strong animal hair allergy, pets are unfortunately not allowed in our house.
